PayPal knows there are customer service numbers that are fraudulent up and down google. Nothing gets done about it.

Allowing customers to be preyed upon by scammers committing fraud claiming to be PayPal customer service. I called the number listed, which PayPal customer service had verified as a good number on their customer service secure portal. Although others have told me that is a scam number listed front and top of Google for PayPal customer service. Its confusing actually.

When someone is fraudulently impersonating you asking friends and family for money and using PayPal to do it. So at that point you need to reach someone to put a stop to it. To add insult to injury, the call is intercepted by scammers who take it further hacking into your information, hacking your email through PayPal and taking over any other account they can. Thank you, PayPal, for making yourself accessible just enough to allow scammers to enter your platform.

I'm confused whether the number is real or fraudulent.

It seems that it depends on whether there is a problem with it or not. I have a printed screenshot of a PayPal assistant on their portal advising me to call that number. Is that hacked to? It seems the easiest one to lay blame on is the customer who is the most common person with the least clout and money.

It doesn't matter that I felt sorry for someone getting ripped off and thought PayPal would shut it down since a Criminal was using their system to fraudulently receive money. I thought it was the right thing for me to do to help the person getting scammed by an imposter. The same standards do not seem to apply to PayPal as the knowingly allow scammers to post numbers claiming to be them. This has been going on for years and nobody is doing anything about it.

Regular people who arent criminal minded being preyed upon and PayPal knows it. At some point one has to say PayPal is part of the problem and their knowledge of such makes them as guilty as the scammers. They sit by and do nothing. As the like to say, That is against community standards.

I need to be reimbursed for losses incurred by such scammers either hacking their system or breaching into their phone lines and customer portals.

This site pissedconsumer.com asks for a Facebook url. Mine is hacked thanks to this incident. So I dont have one. If you think anyone at Facebook is available to help when a black hat hacker has taken over your account, youve got another thing coming.

They are as guilty in this as anyone by not having an emergency customer care line for someone to call in identity theft situations. Even verifying my ID, my number and email come up invalid for verification. Thank you Facebook. Thank you PayPal.

Both dandy big tech giants who go unscathed allowing such. Notice the attachment where Im being advised to call the very number some claim to be fraudulent and others claim to be the correct number. Is it clear yet what is going on? There is obviously something wrong here.

Allowing it is as guilty as those doing it. Of course google is protected by some asinine terms (similar to Facebook) they claim in their view, exonerates them from any blame. Mirroring PayPal allowing fraudsters and hackers to receive money as someone else. Then they are protected by some BS privacy issue when the person is reported.

As if they dont know or cant find out who their customer is with an account. They are over flowing with integrity. Allow fraud to go on and allow their numbers and customer portals hacked into. Regular James Dandies.

All of them.

Any help from the federal trade commission? Not a bit. Nobody there to help with anything. Just places like this to report.

No action at all. Its despicable.
