PayPal has now permanently restricted all of my personal accounts, which has resulted in a monetary loss of over $3,000 USD. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. PayPal's office of executive escalations had responded twice admitting that nothing I...

PayPal review in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Fraudulent Account Change/Update

2.6
Details
Paypal changed the social security number on file from mine, to that of my wife, they say, back in September 2007. However, I didn't even know my wife in September 2007, let alone her social security number!!! I want them to pull that call, and prove this, which I know they cannot! When I spoke w/their Customer Service department, they requested a copy of my social security card sent to their compliance department via email, which I sent to them, despite having verified my account by making 2 deposits to my Paypal account from my bank! I want them to pull the recorded call, and prove the date, time, and the representative I was alleged to have spoken with!

PayPal review in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Horrible Customer Service

Long story short - I paid $250 (last of my money for the week) towards my PayPal smart connect credit bill on Saturday only to find my PayPal balance overdrawn by $10 on Monday due to a pending transaction which I thought would be processed by the credit account. I called to see ask one simple question - "Can I pay off my $10 overdrawn paypal balance with my remaining $250 credit line on the PayPal connect account?" I had to wait for an hour - I was transferred to five different obviously outsourced people who had no clue what I was talking about. In the end I just gave up and shredded their credit card. I'm going to pay off my remaining debt next week and then I'm closing the account permanently. I didn't waste any money - but I did waste a lot of time with this awful company.

How hard should it be to print a label for a USPS mailing box that comes standard with the box size on it? Answer, Don't try to do it on Pay Pal, you'll have a freekin brain hemorrhage dealing with those aliens from another country that can barely speak English from a prompt page.I'm so disgusted with Pay Pal, and eBay that I'm closing both of my accounts with them after 5 years. If you have high blood pressure don't even consider doing anything with eBay or Pay Pal.

Paypal awards fraud buyers, rips off honest sellers

Paypal awarded $440.99 to Jose Rivera, who frauded me on webstore.com. Jose bought the laptop from me, then reverses the charge as soon as it gets to his doorstep. I provided tracking information and attempted to contact Jose several times, but he is actively ignoring me while enjoying the free laptop he was granted at my expense. I contacted DE State Police and filed charges. Harmon told me to file a lawsuit against Paypal should I not receive my funds. I also faxed a police report to Hartford CT State Police, where Jose resides, in hopes of an arrest. Webstore booted Jose from the site since he's scammed other sellers.

PayPal review in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Cant login to acct/ Cant read CAPTCHA test

To log in to my acct. i had to use the CAPTCHA test to verify my account . For whatever reason, I can't seem to type those back accurately. I called to get help. Was told unequivocally there was no solution. I could wait for a snail mail verification of my account, but if I was too limited to read the CAPTCHA side, they could not allow me to use my pay pal account. I asked if there as any other way, but they said no, I had to be able to visually use CAPTCHA. I asked if I could read what I saw back to him. He said ,"no" he wasn't able to see the code. Last request I made: can I not access my paypal account because of my perceived visual limits? The answer was no. I cannot use pay pal. ( The irony is, this site requires the code and they are clear enough for me to read) Why???

PayPal Offers No Seller Protection

On March 25th I sold a home audio system on eBay for $330 with payment handled via PayPal. Funds were received that evening but were put on hold until item was delivered. The next day I took the audio system to my local UPS store where they packaged and shipped it; item was delivered to buyer on March 29th and funds were released to me on April 5th. On April 11th, nearly two weeks after the buyer received the item, she filed a dispute stating that item was "not as described" and that it had been damaged during shipment. The fact that she waited so long without attempting to contact me prior set off the fraud alert button in my head. I send this woman two communications through PayPal, the first asking for photographic proof which she refused to provide and the second asking her to return the damaged item to me at which time I'd issue a refund, she refused that too. PayPal meanwhile took it upon themselves to issue her a full refund. I contacted their customer service and fraud departments but was given nothing but the run-around. They claim that in order to be issued a refund the buyer must provide proof that the item was shipped back to seller. That's apparently not the case since they dipped into my bank account to fund the refund. Meanwhile, I'm out $330 and a nearly brand new Bose that some lady "purchased" for free.

I'm having horrible problems with Paypal. This is over only $20.

Maybe I'll just write it off but every I'm Not Happy website will hear about it and my account will be cancelled. Remember when this company was good?

I do. Too bad greed took over.

PAYPAL Scam

Just tried to get PAYPAL account for ebay and that went fine. Used credit card. Now up pops info that says I need to be Verified. OK I choose get PAYPAL credit card, fill out total application including last 4 digits of SS#. Another window comes up and says to call a number to finish. I call number and they want my SS# complete over the phone. I said no and they said they can't help me if I don't do this. I had to call another number to cancel PAYPAL and that number told me to call another number which said call back Monday-Friday ect. Why did they think I would give my SS# to a person on the phone in India or where ever. But, now they have all my credit info. Laws need to be made that the site must show and explain all the information your going to be asked for before you are required to fill in the form. It's a lowlife information mining ploy!

PAYPAL SUCKS!

Paypal sucks and I'm sure there are sellers out there that have found out the hard way. Everybody thinks Paypal protects you but they don't. They think if somebody takes your money that you get it back. Sometimes you do but most of the time NOT! The only way you get your money back is if that money is still sitting in the paypal account of the seller. Once that money is transfered and has cleared into there bank account- that is it. Say goodbye to your money. I did a transaction and paid over $1300.00 to a supplier in China that was paypal verified. AFter about 3 days and no tracking number, I put in a dispute. Out of that $1300.00, all I got back was $235.00 because that was all that was in there paypal account. Guess what-that was over a year ago. Paypal said they would try but they haven't done *** to help. Recently again I ordered some items and paid my supplier thru paypal. Now this time, it wasn't my supplier that screwed my, it is paypal. I paid over $300.00 and paypal froze my account and my suppliers. They recentently reverersed the amount sitting in my suppliers account back into paypal. So, where is the refunded money. It should show in my account, but it's not and they are not answering my emails. Please buyers and sellers - BEWARE OF PAYPAL! USE GOOGLE CHECKOUT INSTEAD. They go a step further then paypal- they will actually go into the bank account to get that money back. If they cannot, then they get the attorneys to handle it. I'm not new to paypal either. I've had them for a few years. So if you think your OK because your an old customer- think again!!!
