The PayPal customer support is available via phone from Monday to Sunday between 6 AM and 6 PM PT.

The process for making a call as an account holder is different from the process of making a call as a guest. To make a call as a guest, you only need to dial the appropriate phone number depending on your location.

Here is the process for making a call as an account holder:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Go to the help center, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Сontact us”.
- You will be led to a new customer service help page, scroll to the bottom, and click on the “Сall us” option.
- PayPal will provide you with a one-time pass code and dial the phone number provided - you will be required to provide it during the call.

PayPal states categorically that they will only discuss account details with the account holder. The code is part of the verification process to ascertain that you are the account holder and it expires after an hour.

PayPal has a comprehensive help center where you can find answers for most common customer issues. The help center has three categories: personal help (for personal account related issues), business help (for business account issues), and technical help.

If you can’t find an answer on the FAQs, there are 3 more ways to get assistance:
- Report a problem at the resolution center (for transaction-related issues).
- Message - since there is no direct PayPal email address to write to, the PayPal message center option is the best channel for chatting with a customer care representative. Click on “New Message” and provide details of your issue on the text box then click on the ^ button.
- Community forum where you can find answers by looking at responses to other customer’s similar questions either by PayPal customer support representatives or fellow customers.

These details should match the information in your National ID or passport. Follow this by checking the box to accept the company's Terms and Conditions and link your credit or debit card. To cancel a PayPal payment, log in to paypal.com my account and click Activity. This page lists transactions, which you can streamline by date or type. If a transaction is eligible for cancellation, click Cancel. Next, click the link and then Cancel Payment in the confirmation window.

As the title suggests, I've been a long-time user of PayPal, and their customer service was flawless for over 20 years. However, something seems to have gone wrong this year (2024).

Whenever I reach out to customer service, I encounter representatives who struggle to communicate effectively. Problems that I used to resolve in 30 seconds now become a frustrating ordeal.
They treat me as if I'm just some random person, despite the fact that my money is at stake here, and they are effectively holding it. Lets call it a virtual bank, shall we?
In Italy, Im routed to customer care representatives from Turkey, who neither speak Italian nor English properly.

On one occasion, I was even laughed at. Imagine leaving your money in a bank where the operator laughs at youwhat would you think of that?

I reached via customer service to provide a transaction number I received from the lawyers offices handling the government issued Brigit refunds from the Federal Trade Commission. I had received several emails from PayPal regarding this refund.

However, the representative told me it was a scam and all my information was breached without giving any solution or recourse. Then I called the lawyers office back and it was reiterated to me that this was not correct and they provided me with another PayPal customer service number. The same PayPal representative answered again and before pulling up my account to verify my information said the transaction number was not real. Then she asked me for my email to my PayPal account and while I was giving it she interrupted me and asked for it again?

So, I let her know she had just interrupted me while I was doing exactly that (giving my email to the PayPal account) I then asked for escalation to a supervisor. I was put on hold for several minutes. The representative came back on the line stating her supervisor was busy. I asked if there was a complaint or escalation department and was told no.

I asked again and was told yes to the escalation department and when I asked to be transferred was told it was her supervisor? I reiterated to her that she just confirmed there was an escalation department, which indicates it is a department not one sole person. She put me back on hold for several more minutes and then came back on the line and dropped the call. I have already moved out of looking for a solution through PayPal for the Brigit refund and am working directly with the lawyers office handling said refunds, but want to make sure PayPal is aware that this specific customer service representative was not only unprofessional, but she was rude, uninformed, handled the call poorly in every way and came off as completely incompetent.

Worse still, she never escalated the call to a supervisor, another agent, or department and then hung up on me, the PayPal customer. I sincerely hope that PayPal is able to locate this representative as it reflects more than just poorly on her, but leaves PayPal customers wanting to severe any relationship with PayPal as I am planning to never utilize PayPal services as a result.

PayPal should be vetting candidates appropriately and furthermore most certainly should give their customers recourse for such when situations like these arise and Im sure, continue to arise. Goodluck.

I do not feel the energy to explain what occurred. PayPal was zero help and no response until now.

Total incompetency for the customer services.

Once I reached them it was fine. She really helped to resolve my issue. However it was very difficult to find the number to Paypal customer service. On their website they hide the phonenumber well, so you really have to make an effort to get to someone human to discuss your issue.
But thanks to this site I could find it then I was on the road for resolution.
