Be Warned! All the horror stories you read about paypal freezing accounts are true!

And believe me...if you have a paypal account they can freeze it any time they wish with no prior warning. When you call them to try to get a specific reason you'll get the run around from customer service people who will not be able to, or just don't want to tell you why your account is frozen. This means they have use of whatever funds are in your account until, and if, they decide to allow you to withdraw them. I've been using paypal for four years with zero issues and then out of the blue they tell me my account is locked and I won't have access to the $3000 that sits there until they decide to unlock my account. It's been a week and I still can not get any answers. So effectivly they have stolen my money. Can anyone assist me? Beware!

Backing a fraudulent seller is in PayPal policy apparently.

Bought an item that turned out to be fake. Tried to resolve with seller who kept back and forth with me till 30 days went by and then stopped responding. Contacted Paypal who agreed that the listing was fraudulent (China seller listing as US seller,) but insisted that I send the item which I bought from the US (and was sent from the US) to China. After asking numerously to speak with a manager or someone who can make an exception to this obviously flawed policy, Paypal is offering some assistance in shipping the item. Up to $30 IF I QUALIFY. Paypal can keep their assistance. I won't be giving them anymore of my time. Original price of $202.00 Shipping cost (Approx) $100

Totally Inept customer service

In Jan 2016, I began donating $20.00 per month to Pamela Geller thru paypal. In March I called paypal and requested to discontinue the payments, cancel my donation and refund my payments. I have yet to receive anything from paypal, however Ms Geller did refund $20.00. Then this month paypal again debited my bank account of $20.00 payable to Pamela Geller. I have tried to get in touch with them but given the run-around after the first call. Again, request cancellation of any payment to Ms Geller, and a refund of Feb 2016 $20.00 in addition to the April debit of another $20.00.

Paypal is breaking federal and state laws, the internet crime task force has done nothing to stop them, i showed proof of delivery of an item, furthermore i updated my account information with them to verify my identity as they asked. No negitive feedback and no buyer complaints filed ever on my account ever, and they even confirmed with the buyer that they recived there item. They decided to freeze my account with $$3900 dollars for no reason other than they say it is a high level of risk for them to keep open and that they wont under any circumstance give me my money for 6 months, so buyer has my item and im stuck here with no money for my bills. Theres certain laws that specifically say how long a middle man such as paypal can hold funds and they are breaking these laws which vary state to state.

PayPal permanently closed my account without any logical explanation. Almost cost me my home, my business and my employees livelihood.

Tried several attempts to get them to reinstate it with no success. They just closed it and held my money for over 6 months which I have yet to receive till this day.

Will be filing a lawsuit agains them.

My only solution was to pay Auction Essistance to help me open up another PayPal account so I can start accepting payments again. Several months with no Paypal left us to sell personal belongings and business assets just to cover payroll and several expenses.

Paypal does not defend chargback that was done by a fraud

I use to have a company that did business using a merchant account with paypal, We did over 100K in business with them over several years and never had any complaints, Just to explain the minimum charge our customers would do is 5,000.00 dollars some would pay us over 30,000 dollars. Then in September of 2015 we had a customer that wanted us to do work for him His total contract was 88,000.00 Dollars of which he paid 32,0000.00 in deposits using several credit cards We proceeded to do the work Then in december he decided he did not want to go on he signed a sttlement agreement that said we earned the 32 K he also cashed a settlement check that said settled in full for 6755.00 dollars, 2 weeks later he proceeded to chargeback all the cards, every other week a new chargeback till he got to the 32K plus he already recieved 6755 Making him profit on this. I sent all documentation to paypal, cashed checks, agreements contracts they said dont worry, Well now to this day they lost 11,000.00 and want me to pay them. They were negligent in defending me I offered to speak directly with cc companies they denied me. I need help because at this rate they will lose all the cases.They will never get paid back from me as i now lost my business because of them. But i fear this will go to collections even though i am the innocent one in this.

The Seller Kenneth Lund sold the product as new, but when it was shipped to me it was used products out of a junk yard. Contacted Paypal. They said ship it back, they would reimburse me for the shipping. Their site said that I was reimbursed back to my discover card and to this date it has not been credited. I also submitted a receipt the 51.65 for the shipping and they will not be responsible for the return shipping even though the Seller misrepresented his product. Their customer services is awful. I did not even have a Paypal account. The Seller gave Paypal my e-mail address and when Paypal told me to logon to my account I told them I did not have an account. They said one was set up through the Seller that I purchased the product from. So they had to give me an e-mail with a change a passcode for me to be able to correcspond with them because Paypal will only communicate through their secure site. I am pissed, frustrated and disguisted with this company and the Seller Mr. Kenneth Lund. I would never buy another product from this Seller or from Paypal ever again.

PayPal are just theives hiding behind a business License

On Feb 26, 2016, I placed an order online through Gearbest.com. I paid for the order using PayPal.com. On March 1, 2016 a package from GearBest was delivered to my home; my son accepted the package, not knowing the contents of the order. When I returned home on March 3, 2016 I immediately saw that only 2 of the 6 items ordered were shipped, so I tired to contact Gearbest but their contact form was not working. I waited for hours for the waiting indicator to stop spinning. It never did so I went to Paypal and opened a dispute. This is the wording of my initial dispute: : 3/3/2016 11:04 PST - Buyer: I ordered 6 items. I only received two and one of them is not what I ordered PLUS the invoice shows teh price to be half of what I paid. For the LED Reading Glasses Eyeglass +3.0 Diopter Magnifier with Currency Detect Function, I paid $3.00 but they are invoiced at $1.50. For the Dome G50 1080P FHD Car DVR Dash Cam 16.0MP Resolution Video Recorder 170 Degree Wide Angle Lens G - sensor, I paid $61.73 but the price on the invoice is $30.87 Plus, I ordered the G50, I got the EG05. I did not receive the Dome G30B 2.7 inch H.264 ****P Full HD Dual Lens Car DVR 140 Degree Wide Angle Lens Dash Camera Video Recorder with Rear View Camera Motion Detection G - sensor with Charger ( I paid $41.46 for this item) I also did not receive the Dual LED +1.0 Reading Glasses Magnifier Eyeglass with Money Detect Function ($3.00 paid), the Dual LED +4.0 Reading Glasses Magnifier Eyeglass with Money Detect Function ($3.00 paid), nor the CIMA D1 Multifunctional Lighter Magnesium Rod Compass Whistle ($5.24 paid). There is record of the two other Eyeglass having been shipped, but they were not received. There is not Record of the CIMA D1 Multifunctional Lighter Magnesium Rod Compass Whistle, nor the Dome G30B 2.7 inch H.264 ****P Full HD Dual Lens Car DVR 140 Degree Wide Angle Lens Dash Camera Video Recorder with Rear View Camera Motion Detection G - sensor with Charger being shipped at all. I want a refund for the non-received items as well as the items I was overcharged for as follows: $3.00 - $1.50 + 61.73 - $30.86 + $41.46 +$3.00 + $3.00 + $5.24 = $85.07. I can supply to PayPal scanned copy of invoice Air Waybill number 762 874 **** proving my claim on missing items and of over-chargement upon request. I will keep the items shipped but I will only pay the amount as invoiced on the Air Waybill number 762 874 ****. On March 8, 2016, PayPal emailed me, informing me Gearbest had offered me a partial refund of $47.46 but that did not cover the full cost of the items I had paid for and not received, so I declined the partial refund. Then on March 9.2016 PayPal emailed me saying “In order to continue with this investigation, a report must be filed with a law enforcement agency or government organization.  You may choose to contact your local law enforcement agency (such as your local police or sheriff's department) or you may choose to file a report with any other governmental agency of your choice.” So, I filed a report through IC3 and the Riverside County Sheriff Department, and provided proof to PayPal via copies of the report(s). On March 10, 2016 , at 10:56 PM, PayPal emailed me saying “You’re eligible for a refund of $120.78 USD once you return the items listed below before March 21, 2016. Before you do so, please read our instructions carefully. …..” which I did. On March 11, 2016I went to USPS online and paid $30.95 for Priority Mail International® Padded Flat Rate Envelope #LJ51632****US, which was to have the package delivered in 3 days time. I provided a copy of the mailing label receipt and tracking info to PayPal. Additionally, I paid the Priority 3 day international shipping cost to be sure my package was insured and trackable. Yesterday I called the Post office to try to obtain information asit to the location of the package as their tracking ends on March 12, 2016 , 10:21 pm saying it Departed USPS Facility LOS ANGELES, CA 90009. When I called, after numerous transfers, I was told that due to the package being under 4 pounds once it left the United States, even though I paid for Priority shipping and all the tracking and insurance that normally goes with such postage, once it left the USA it became normal first class parcel mail and was untraceable and because I used their pre-made packaging, instead of plain brown paper and a simple priority mailing label, it was not covered by their priority mail insurance so I was not entitled to file a claim for a lost package. NO ONE at USPS informed me of this when I created the label, nor when I went to the post office to mail the package off! I was told it would arrive in 3 days time and was insured! It is now March 22,2016 and they (Gearbest and PayPal) will not give me a refund. I have lost countless nights sleep over this issue. I support my son and self on $1930 a month and I cannot afford to throw away a penny, much less $120.78. I trusted Gearbest.com to provide to me the items I long ago paid them for; they have not and what they did send, was invoiced at half the price I paid them. I trusted PayPal to provide me a proper partial refund, as all my documents supported such; they refuse to give me a refund. I trusted the USPS to ship my return package as I paid for,a nd for it to be fully trackable and insure; it was not.

PayPal issues refund before goods sent back....now is stuck

This PayPal organization is the most unprofessional, lacking any kind of customer service. I had a claim which I am most happy to issue a refund -- when I get the goods back. I never got the goods back and tracking shows they never were delivered. Regardless PayPal issues the refund to the customer then turns its collection people on me. What a joke. Until I get the item returned, they won't get their money...and they won't even call me -- it is all email from their consumer response hot room. Even the folks in the 800# agree with me, but no one can get the hot room on the phone....terrible.

I am a buyer and I I only received 1/3 of what I ordered through Gearbest.com and what I got was not what I paid for. I did everything right and I paid 31 bucks to return the partial order as PayPal said I had to do and they denied my refund as Gearbest lied and said they never received the items back ( thank you USPS Priority International mail turning into first class, untrackable mail once leave USA soil) so I am out 150 + bucks and I have nothing to show for it. PayPal is just a thief, nothing more.

PayPal is good if you are the buyer but if you are the seller paypal's sucks, they hold your money for 21 days. The day after the buyer paid, PayPal will give you a go signal to ship the item but they will hold the money for 3 weeks. I will still buy on eBay but never to sell again, instead I will use Craigslist.

I got negative balance on Paypal they want me to pay. I decided try sell few things on EBay I wanted get rid of so set up EBay account then was required setup paypal also.

I eventually sold an item for like $100 which it was international shipping so it cost total $138 so I could ship it. Well paypal makes it impossible for people to sell things on eBay since typically ones just starting up or don’t do much can’t afford the $40 to send the product out to be shipped. And paypal holds the money for the product for 21 days and then say you need to ship out the item. Little hard when they also hold the funds for the shipping.

I requested many times in a week if they could atleast release the funds of $38 for shipping and they could hold the remaining $100 until the buyer received the item. Never once got a reply. So I contacted the buyer letting him know that paypal was holding the funds for 21 days including the shipping cost. And asked him if I could ship it after the 21 days so I could pay for shipping and I would take it out the $100 and refund him the $38 he sent for shipping originally which he agreed to so I instantly went under the transaction and refunded to send him back $38 that was supposed be for shipping but I couldn’t send for another 21 days so he didn’t deserve to pay it.

21 days rolls around and finally funds are available. The full $138 was transferred, then about five minutes later the $38 was refunded back to buyer leaving me with $100. I had it already boxed up so went to postal office to ship out. Printed label and paid $27.47 to ship out.

Updated on eBay and PayPal the tracking number and it was finally shipped out. From there no idea what happened but I never had the package returned to me by postal service, but seller claimed they never received it so put in a claim to paypal which they then decided to give back him the money plus the shipping amount too tha I already gave back once myself. The seller made out with me giving back shipping almost $40 myself over paypal sucking and holding funds so I felt bad seller had to wait. Then once I sent out package after about month I see PayPal’s negative $138.

Seller claiming he never got package and he wanted refund full amount plus shipping! Knowing he was refunded it two months ago! Now I’m stuck with owing paypal $138, lost $40 shipping product and also out the $100 the was worth and dk t have the item! It’s not fair!

I never again will deal with eBay or paypal ever again.

I don’t plan on fixing my negative balance also since I’m sorry it wasn’t my fault and I was scammed by the person who bought from me. He got it for free by getting the money transferred back to his paypal once he got the package.

bought an auto part, turned out to be a wrong part, seller refused taking any responsibility for it, paypal offered $10 for shipping which costs $25. Seller is known for refusing to provide refunds for returned goods, paypal failed to provide guaranty for that as well. paypal did not even bother to send me a reply to my detailed complaint about a fraudulent auto part seller besides an automated text terrible customer service and a loss of my money why anybody is using paypal? great idea, terrible company
