Lack of Customer Service

Attempting to contact PayPal via phone makes you sit on hold for a 30 minute minimum, contacting through Twitter takes 18 hours to respond, and the website doesn't even let you file a complaint. I'm seriously considering cancelling my account, and advising others to do the same. PayPal is no longer the caring company they once we're, be wary of dealing with them anymore...

Charges fees even when you pay the correct amount

Paypal is very dishonest in how they charge interest fees on promotional financing. My statement clearly stated what was due to avoid interest and finance charges, that is what I paid. The next month they charged me interest saying that I did not pay an expiring promotional balance. I sent in pages of documentation showing them the statement amount due and the payments I made (that matched exactly) and they still did not refund the amount. No way to get a hold of a contact person via phone or email. Very poor customer service. Also their statements are very confusing and almost impossible to reconcile the amount due verses what they current activity and promotional billing is due. I Definitely will not be using them again.

All this lady says is untrue. My post on-line was for an attorney who needed paralegal help. This lady asked that a complaint she had previously filed to be reformatted and retyped. I did not provide any legal advice, simply tookthe documents she provided and reformatted and retyped. If you exam the court docket in Miami-Dade for Bridge Golde you will see she is a serial litigator. She tries to extort money from people. She tried to extrot money from an individual who tried to help her. All I did was retformat and retype what she had provided me. No legal advice was offerd. Oh, I did provide public information as to where to find certain documents she said she needed. This woman is not quite stable. Again, llook at all her filings in the Miami-Dade Clerk of Court.

I had a freind transfer money to me via paypal and i have been fighting with them to get the money to my prepaid walmart money card for 5 days now and now when i call in they refuse tonanswer my phone call i was left on hold for 2 hoirs yestraday befor i got frustrated and hung up rhis is not a way to run a bisneiss

I sold an item through eBay and the item was shipped and received by the buyer with all tracking info for both pay pal and eBay to view. I followed all steps and my money is still on hold 8 days later. I have contacted both pay pal and eBay over 10 times and all they tell me is they will submit a ticket and to wait 24 hrs. Nothing has been done and my money is on hold. Im sick and tired of waiting for my money after the item is already in possession by the buyer. I spoke to a supervisor for both eBay and paypal and they did nothing to resolve my issue. I recommend no one use pay pal or ebay for anything. Complete garbage of a company.

Won't get my refund of $40.00 from seller

I purchased a dress from TB Dress for $108 in June 2018. I sent the funds using PayPal credit for this purchase. I wanted to exchange the dress for a larger size and the seller requested an additional $40.00 shipping for the replacement. I decided to keep the dress but I am unable to get my $40 back from TB Dress. I opened a dispute with PayPal twice and each time they sided with the seller. It seems like no one at PayPal understands that I just want to get the $40 back not the $108 I original paid for the dress. I am very disappointed in PayPal for not representing me properly. I am not sure if I will ever purchase anything using PayPal credit in the future.

Lazy and rude

July 16, 2018 Absolutely the laziest and worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life! I opened an old account and needed to do a name change so I submitted all the documents and they changed it to the wrong name. I emailed them in frustration and told them to read the rest of my drivers license so they could actually change it to my correct name. I then got an email saying I would need to call them and make the change. So, I called them to make the change and they told me they couldnt do it unless I submitted another request for a name change. I said, you want me to submit all of the same documents that you are looking at right now so that you can change my name to the correct name? He said yes and apologized for the inconvenience. I said no, you have all of the documents in front of you and its insanity for me to send it all over again and hope for something different. You have everything you need, you have all of my documents, just change it to the correct name. Its right there on my drivers license that you have on file! He wouldnt budge and I said that I wanted to speak with a manager. He put me on hold for an extended amount of time and then came back and hung up on me. I then called back. When you call PayPal, the automated service asks if the number you are calling from can be used to look up your account. I said OK. It then told me that I would have a two-hour wait but said I could be on a callback list if that would be better. I obviously wasnt going to be on a callback-list nor wait two hours on hold when I had just gotten off the phone with their representative. I knew they were there. So, I called back again and said "no" when the automated answering service asked to verify my account with my phone number. At that point I was on hold for about two minutes before a representative got on the phone. Ironic that when they didnt know it was me they were happy to answer the phone. It was the same guy. So, to sum it up, they got mad at me because I was frustrated at THEIR mistake and wanted a manager to correct it. Then they flagged my account and wouldn't take my call. They lied. They said it was a two hour wait when it clearly wasn't. When I told him I wanted to cancel he was happy to handle it. He couldn't change my name with my drivers license in front of him nor put me in touch with a manager, but he was happy to close the account. He didn't even ask why I was canceling so I let him know I'd be contacting the BBB, Google reviews, and social media to report my experience and he happily said "ok". He didn't care, nobody there cared. I'm just one person. But I'm now one less customer and if they continue with service like that I won't be the last to walk away. It was by far the laziest and most unprofessional customer service I've ever encountered, and I'm in the customer service industry.

That's on you. Did this person tell you they had your @#$# in front of them or did you assume this was the 80's small office with someone standing over a fax machine. Who knows where that office that you sent it to is. "cancel he was happy to handle it" Well of course they were...

You won't do what he needs done to help you.

No one is going to churn with you. It's easier to cancel you penny ante nothing account and move on to help others who are on hold because of obtuse people like you.

Terrible Customer Service & "Seller Protection"

I am a somewhat new seller on paypal. I sell high end clothes on grailed.com. (Over 35 transactions with perfect feedback) I am aware of the 21 day hold policy and why it exists. However, paypal specifically states that you can receive your money 3 days after your item is proven delivered to the buyer. (as long as you submit tracking directly through paypal) Every single transaction I do on grailed, I ship as quickly as possible and always immediately upload tracking information to both grailed and paypal. However, there have been multiple transactions I've made (10+) where the item has been delivered for well over 5/6 days, and the funds are still pending on my paypal. I've had to call paypal customer service to get most of them released to me, waiting well over 45 mins to an hour to get the problem resolved. I should not have to call paypal and go through the excruciatingly painful customer service experience every single time I want my money released to me (money I should have already had released to me). The worst instance has been a transaction I made on July 8. The item was delivered on July 11, tracking uploaded to both paypal and grailed. It's July 16 and the funds are still pending. 8 days after the item has been proven delivered, still no money for me. A customer service rep told me that the address listed on the USPS tracking was a different address than the one on the buyer's paypal account. I checked this, and the addresses were the same...I even received a message on grailed from the buyer letting me know that he got the item. Lmfao. The customer service rep said that this was something I needed to contact USPS about, as the item "may have been delivered to the wrong address." How is this even remotely realistic when the addresses on the buyer's paypal and grailed are exactly the same, and he sends me a direct message via grailed letting me know he received the item. I attempted to contact the buyer to have him mark the item as received on paypal, but he clearly is not an avid user of grailed and won't respond to me. Regardless, it shouldn't be the buyer's responsibility to mark the item as received in order for me to get my money. The tracking is enough proof as it is. I called paypal again the same night, and a NEW customer service rep mentioned absolutely nothing about the addresses being different. She merely told me "Your funds will be released in about 30 minutes," and hung up the phone. It has been 18 hours since this phone call and the funds are still pending. The inconsistencies in the customer service are hysterical. I've been on hold for 1 hour waiting to talk to a new customer service rep. Paypal is the least "helpful" or "safe" place for your money. Good luck ever trying to get your money quickly, unless you want to feel suicidal listening to the voice automated *** face saying things to you on hold for hours and hours.

Do not use

Paypal is a massive headache, DO NOT USE. They pull funds immediately but hold funds for far too long. Fraud charges funneling in from ituns and various places place you in exposed and vulnerable positions. Calling for support is horrid, thick indianacents and incompetence is the norm.

No money no product

I purchase an item on Ebay paid the Seller $85.00 for a used folding table since he was unable to ship it to me i requested a refund and asked him to cancel the order..The seller didn't reply back I went to PayPal resolution center filed a case..than the Seller replied after reading that it was best to work things out with the Seller he requested that I close out the case so as for him to send a refund..He sent an attachment showing him trying to refund and Paypal site saying because there was a case open his action couldn't be done...I cancel the case than the seller stopped replying..mean while he still has the item and my money..I called your customer service and Ebay ..Ebay saying because I contacted PayPal its nothing they can do..PayPal stating because I got fooled into canceling the case I am out luck..mean while this scammer has my $85.00 and still able to scam other's...I will contact BBB,Consumer Affair,Rip-off.com Trusted.com..Post in Facebook.com on Ebay as well as PayPal on Facebook..Post on Youtube..site..and warn any other would be consumers about this scam and how PayPal and Ebay leave the consumer hanging...this post will be sent to social media site and I will never do business with PayPal and Ebay again !

Crap. Lairs. Thieves. Unprofessional. Customer service robot

So ive been a long time user of paypal, have always been leery of them yet never had a problem. Clients send me payment via PayPal sometimes and it always works out. Well all the sudden they have decided that i am some sort of threat and are now flagging all of my payments for a security check and holding my money for 72hrs. Ive called them over and over and its a different story every time i call. 1st it was because their system forgot who i was between jun4th and july 11th. And they accused me of creating my account illegally. Then they ask for my a copy of my sscard, license, and BANK STATEMENTS. ive been transferring money from PayPal to the same bank account since 2016. I sent a copy of my license and called them back and they approved that right there while i was on the phone. So today i go to do anyother transfer with a client i have done business with in the past (just jun 22) and the flag pops up again 72hr hold. I call and they BLAIM MY CLIENTS. the lady tells me that BOTH my clients must have a bad history with paypal.....wtf? Im hiring an attorney *** these interest stealing dicks....oh and dont call customer service, they will merely read their manual repeatedly if you make too much since and they dont like what you say and if you talk to a manager they will just blaim you or the sender for being a bad person i guess.

PayPal Withholding Funds

PayPal withholding funds for no apparent reason Recently charged a customer $2000.00 USD for services rendered using PayPal Here software and card swiping hardware. Upon logging in to PayPal business account to transfer money to connected business banking account discovered that all but $500.00 USD of the funds were being held for a period of 30 days. This protocol was never explained when I registered for a PayPal business account. Received an error message that indicated a limit had been set on this account. No explanation was offered as to why this limit was set. We are a licensed, bonded and insured business, registered LLC by the Secretary of State of Ohio to conduct business. We have been in business for 10+ years. We never would have used PayPal had we known there would be a 30 day hold on all funds in excess of $500. No legitimate business with accounts receivable and accounts payable could possibly conduct business on this timeline. We are now having to scramble to find a way to move funds to cover the costs we will incur because of this absurd policy that was never communicated. Additionally, of the $500.00 in funds that was permitted to be transferred to the business account, there was a 72 hour hold placed on the transfer. The 72 hour window has now elapsed and those funds have not been released either. This failure to release funds will cost carry repercussions for our business as we will undoubtedly be forced to cover fees and associated charges for transactions that will be returned for insufficient funds.

Screwed by paypal

Made multiple purchases on ebay. Paid through paypal. Never received what I purchased. Opened a claim. Denied because I took yhe tome to try and work it out with thr sellers. Then received an email telling me it was closed because I didnt respond orvtespond in time to something I had no way of knowimg about as I never received a response with this information. Screwed out of $500 plus all my time
