Terrible Customer Service

Forget about getting help from Paypal. They never answer the phone and when they do a monkey could do a better job in solving problems. Really? Is a company this large too cheap to hire people who went to college? Like seriously.

This is a good reason to avoid using PayPal. Best to always use a credit card when ordering online.

It is also a good reason to avoid these foreign retailers. Amazon.com is much better to order things from.

When ordering, you should also check the site and find out their returns policy. Most people don't think of doing this, much to their ultimate chagrin.

They get money through your bank, then allow fake business to take it. When recovered it stays with paypal.

PayPal steals your money

PayPal closed my account without warning and no viable reason. It is amazing that this company is legally allowed to keep people's money for five months after closing their account without providing a good reason. It's unethical! I have two children and have no money to support them now because of this horrible company. I will never use their services again and would warn others that you are at risk using them. You are better off using a bank or credit union to handle your funds.

3 calls, 1h 30m; no resolution. Background: There was no way to reject my friend's payment so I accepted her $. I then sent her a transaction back. Within hours it says she has refunded the money. I call her. Nope she didn't. I call to get it cancelled and they tell me it's about a bank delay. I have to force my way to a manager. He says it's a security breach and I need to bring the friend on a 3 way call to talk to a specialist. I am lucky enough to reach her. The manager never connects us to a specialist, puts us on an indefinite hold. We hang up. I call back. Try to re-explain. Representative puts me on hold again to look into it. ~10 min later, I hang up because they didn't come back. I called again. Explained again. Transferred into indefinite hold. I am about to give up entirely and tell my friend to fight it for awhile.

Ordered Eyeshadow palettes from Insta that were supposed to be authentic Huda brand. They were fake. Contacted seller. PayPal told me to mail the palettes back to China, which cost me $24, then give them tracking number and they denied my claim saying I didn't give them the tracking information! So out $66 for counterfeit makeup plus $24 to send it to China so they can resell it to scam another person!!!

Dear Mr. Dan Schulman Prior to this situation we were a BIG fan of Ebay and PayPal. Not so much anymore!! We are very unhappy customers of PayPal and will NEVER use PayPal again and I will also be sharing this disgusting experience to many others through Social Media and personal contacts if some resolution cant be accomplished. Word of mouth is the worst type of spreading this information because as you know it runs like Wild Fire. If this does not bother you then you can stop right here and disregard this email. If you would like to hear about the problem my son and I encountered with your company PayPal and wish to try to reconcile and win our confidence and loyalty back then read on. We don’t have to spread this negative situation thru Social Media, Friends, Relatives and EVERYONE ELSE. Its ALL in your hands We will be anxiously awaiting your reply and how you feel you can compensate and correct this negative dealing with PayPal See Details Below: •Tyler Schretter listed Cartier glasses on Ebay for a very aggressive price $200.00 (Item # 113818****04 ). Absolutely NO returns! The description explains the glasses. •Within 1 week (July 18, 2019) a Jim Nozadze 3005 West 6th St, Wilmington DE 19805 purchased them and asked NO questions regarding the glasses. •The Buyer Jim paid 200.00 thru PayPal and THIS IS WHERE PROBLEM begins •Tyler carefully packaged and shipped the glasses via UPS the next day. •We contacted PayPal and they held the payment for roughly 21 days because Tyler hadn’t sold much on Ebay, which is still FINE. •Buyer received within a few days and was happy with the glasses. •A few more days passed and then customer becomes not so happy with the look of glasses on his face and wants to return them. •Listing said NO RETURNS!!!!! •I contacted Ebay 2 days ago and they side with us that there is nothing wrong with glasses and it says NO RETURNS! •They tell us they are going to tell PayPal to release money. Your agent says that we should deal with the Buyer and he wants to return the glasses even though the listing says NO RETURNS. The Buyer is a Damn Liar. The customer the Buyer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. Since all this took place I suggested my son let the Buyer return the glasses at his expense and reimburse us for shipping them to the Buyer as of last night even though listing says NOOOOOOOO RETURNS. We will have glasses inspected once return and if they have 1 scratch we will SUE not just them but PayPal should be held liable also I’ve been in Business for many years and have never come across such horrible C/S and terrible handling of business. I would expect you Dan as CEO of PayPal to step in and make this right for my son. Never again

Purchased something from a slime ball seller who never shipped my package. Gave me a bogus tracking number and glommed my money. Filed complaint with PayPal and waiting for them to stop dragging their feet. I will only do business now with a reputable company. This business of ordering something and the person only gives an email to contact is a load of crap. People doing shady things never answer their emails, they just hope you go away.

Will never buy anything thru PayPal again. The seller mailed out my package to a bogus address. Sent me a tracking number to make it look legit. Obviously I never got it. Emailed the seller with no response because their is no phone number to call. PayPal isn’t helping either. File claim with Resolution center but no responses their either. Do yourself a favor and don’t use PayPal.

Paypal Protects Fraudulent Buyers

Did you know that PayPal ignores all communication between sellers and buyers outside of a PayPal case? A buyer can email you and admit to fraud, yet PayPal will still refund them! All a buyer has to do is claim Not as Described. No proof required. Just a tracking number showing item delivered back to seller. Could be an empty envelope, that's ok ! Automatic full refund to scammers. It's that easy. Oh, and if you're the buyer (scammer) be sure to not add any comments to incriminate yourself. Just say nothing at all, and you will receive a full refund. Well done PayPal !!!! Customer Support are automated robots from non-english speaking countries, that copy and paste responses because they don't understand the question. Like eBay, CS will lie and say anything to get you off the phone, when you call back they rinse and repeat. They say you can appeal a lost case, however the Appeal button DOES NOT EXIST ! They insult you and degrade you repeatedly until you can't take it anymore. Pathetic ! What are you doing about it Daniel Shulman ? Would you want to be treated like this?

It is like going to court with a Jester as a Judge. If you have ever been to court often your Attorney will discribe just what you did and cut you off when he or she knows less is more.

The problem is that they ask you for some of the most time intenive tasks with absolutly no intention of fixing the situation. I once recieved an empty envelope that was to have jewelry weighing almost an ounce but the Seller mailed a us[s empty envelope and if I had not had a scale and the Postmaster on my side I could not prove that all these envelopes weigh the same and there was no weight for jewlery. The seller was pulled from Ebay and Paypal though this was a few years ago. Something has happened, maybe they got too big and don’t care.

They eat a lot of profit though and my last grievance I lost after proving it was not as described but probably sad too much, forwarding them the vendors confession did me no good at all.

They could have said it was smashed but we sent it to you anyway and they would have sided with vendor. I hear you....Good advise...If you are too trusting they will run you in circles for weeks.

I had a customer file a Dispute for $180.00. Her Invoice was for 3 items totaling $356.81.. The dispute was for 2 belts that were 80.00 each that I had shipped though USPS. Tracking after 30 days still shows the package to be in transit but Arriving late on the USPS official website. BECAUSE she filed an insurance claim with USPS I was unable to file one.. I told the customer that the only way I could give her a full refund was if the belts were returned back to me. However, PayPal asked her to provide a tracking so the customer shipped me a handbag that was not even mentioned in the dispute as well as provided a tracking to PayPal. I sent PayPal the conversation and pictures between myself and the customer where she stated she returned the bag even though she had carried it for over 120 days. She also stated that she filed the USPS insurance claim.. PAYPAL refunded her the entire total of the invoice even though the dispute was not for all 3 items.. AFTER explaining all of this to a PayPal agent in which they agreed that due to her changing the reason for the dispute 4 times in 30 days it seemed like buyers abuse... I Appealed the decision and PayPal now states I must file a report with my local police etc. After calling the local police dept and meeting with a detective they tell me there is no charges to file and that this is all a civil matter between her and myself and that I needed to hire an attorney. I find this to all be insane considering I send on avg 300 invoices per week through paypal and I've only been disputed 4 times.. Out of the 4 the only one PayPal has refunded and ruled in the buyers favor was this twisted and ridiculous dispute. I will hire an invoicing company due to the principal of it.. The Customer NEVER returned the items that she was wanting a refund on PLUS she received the Insurance money from USPS on the very same items that PayPal refunded her on.. I guess some think its ok that a customer can MAKE MONEY off of a business..... Sincerely , PISSED OFF Business owner.

Ordered a magazine subscription for a German magazine from magazinecafe.com and paid with Paypal! Never received any confirmation from the company so I called and was told they had no record but they received the money. They denied my request for a refund because I was on vacation and needed extended time.

Paypal denied my request for a refund because I was on vacation and needed extended time to return the item. Once I returned home I tried to return the item that didn't fit but could not find any return address. The company kept sending me a request for pictures while I was on vacation, but no return address. They actually said that the return shipping was to high and offered me $10 and keep the shoes. I should have accepted instead of trying to get Paypal to help. I will know better next time. Totally disappointed in Paypal. WE have been with them since the beginning.
