Your initial mistake was in answering an ad on Facebook. Not a good idea to trust any ad on any social media site.

Period. The plug you received looks like a "type C" plug used in various European countries. You can buy an adapter plug to make it usable in the US as long as you verify it is not for a 220v or other system and is for our 115v.

You can probably also buy a converter to make it usable in the US but then you are going to pay more money for something that probably doesn't cost what a converter will cost. Bottom line, re-evaluate your shopping from ads on social media, and dump PayPal and go to a real bank with a checking and savings account and also a credit card----never a debit card, of course as they are extremely dangerous.

Return Item at what cost

Ordered security camera thru Ebay. It arrives dead on arrival. The seller wants me to send pictures of the connections I do that. Then they ask for a video. I go thru PayPal tell them it it DOA and I want my money returned. They send a email saying to return product to company to get my money back. The return address is in China. The cost to ship back is $39.79 the cost of the camera $22.90. this camera was shipped to me on the east coast NOT CHINA. Closed EBAY ACCOUNT, CLOSED PAYPAL ACCOUNT. Will use Amazon from now on. My cost is $23.50 for the wrong item to be returned, and I receive NOTHING except a net loss of $23.50, and a lot of time and trouble involved in trying to get a FULL refund.

I received through PayPal dispute claim and say depop seller say accept refund and return their address but I won’t pay postage for nothing they that why I closed the case that mean she won the case the claim.. the seller gave me mistake wrong size the primark legging she know about it and never told me about it seller is lied and fraud/scam am not happy about it

Lack of customer service

Unfortunately I will be closing my Pay Pal account very soon. I have been a member since 2001 and today 3-24-2018 I fear I will be out over $460 because Pay Pal closed and cut off any discussion with the seller of the product I have an issue with and purchased from on eBay. My purchase was for a factory sealed software package that was not registered and the problem is the manufacture refuses to register the product for me, stating because I bought from a private seller and not an authorized dealer. I have over 1494 transactions with 100 % positive feedback on eBay. So I'm out $460 some dollars? Not acceptable! Over a month and no conclusion to this debacle. What crap! 17 year member very disgruntled.

Poor CSR support over the phone.

I've never had to "talk" over the phone with PayPal untill I needed information regarding how to pay off a promotion. I found their number and called them. As user friendly as the PayPal app is to use I thought I would also be met with a friendly voice on the other end of the phone. This was not the case. l wasn't even greeted friendly. No "Hello," How are you,""Thank You," "Have a nice day," nothing. The CSR on the line acted like she either hated her job or was a miserable person. I'm kind of blown away. I'm glad I called, because if you don't call in to tell them where you want your payment allocated to, it won't get there. (I could have gotten blasted with a fat interest charge).Thats if she actually knew what she was talking about. From what I've read on here, I don't have much faith in their informatiin either.

I recently suffered a Paypal *** of Biblical proportions.

They eventually re-paid what had been stolen, but not without a world of aggravation and wasted time. Key Bank also fouled up badly.

You mentioned being 65. I'm 61 , but I don't see how that makes much difference.

If anything, you should be experienced in just about everything by now and be able to handle whatever aggravations arise.

I kept getting emails saying my payments were denied and they were going to try 3 more times. I had just signed up with one of my bank accounts. When I called paypal, they told me I was using a savings account, that really is mine, but I NEVER gave them the info to that account. I do not even know the account number! So now I am -$100 in that account. Paypal will not return my emails. They were not helpful at all and plan on taking more action on this issue!

So despite paying hundreds of dollars in Paypal fees, maintaining a business account for months without issue, being as honest as I could be to a whole line of agents that seldom know which department can help me, much less knowing what the answer to ANY QUESTION I POSE is; despite paying over $2200 dollars in charge backs that wiped out every dime I made, ALL OF WHICH I thought would earn me a degree of good faith, especially after hearing an Agent who shall remain unnamed, very nice guy actually, tell me that I had nothing to worry about, my account was in good standing and I had no reason to worry about being shut down. And sir, If you happen to read this and I hope you do, no hard feelings. YOU WERE RIGHT sir. There was no reason whatsoever to look at my account history and be concerned. How could you know another department would shut me down for no reason whatsoever. When I called back to explain to them the exact reason, after research on my end, the EXACT reason, why I was not in violation of any terms and conditions, and the site that I invest in works HAND IN HAND with paypal and has agreements WITH paypal exactly BECAUSE what we do IS permitted. So what can I do? I ask the Community or the ONE Agent who had it right. Mr. B? What can I do in the face of a company that seems to not care, and the more I point at where things are going, they continue RUNNING in that Direction... Do I have any Options? I have filed with the BBB, the Consumer Review website, and EBAY. Are there any other options to get their attention? I just want to continue doing business, that's all.

Paypal Prepaid Mastercard and their BS

So I'm officially on day 4 of battling with these...wonderful people....and needless to say, I'm already done. I am in the process of trying to build a small business from the ground up, no loans or investors. ALL of my time and money have gone into this thus far. I ordered my Paypal Prepaid Mastercard last month and at first, things were just fine. You reload the card with Paypal My Cash cards, but low and behold, all of a sudden, none of the vendors in my town SELL these GD things anymore! They have more prepaid Mastercards (the temps you get before they send you the one with your name on it), but no My Cash cards. So I'm now at a point where the only way for me to get money into my paypal is a bank transfer. I don't have a bank account (I just don't like banks), but my roommate has one with Wells Fargo. So today, he deposited $175 from me to transfer to my paypal. We were able to get $50, but when we tried to do the rest, it stated that we could not use that card for this transaction. We figured maybe WF had put a hold on it for suspicious activity (we tried a few different amounts a couple times trying to figure out if we were maybe just trying to transfer too much at once), so we called WF customer service, just for them to tell us that his account was fine, the money was there and available, and that the issue was on the Paypal side. Long story short, we got sick of trying and he pulled the cash from the ATM and went and bought me another card to try from Freds. Turns out that all they had were these other prepaid mastercards, you can only have 1 hooked to your account, and there was no way to get it onto my existing permanent prepaid mastercard. I was given the run around on the phone for 4 hours tonight. No one understood what I was trying to tell them, or what I was trying to do. Since there is no one out here that I can find that sells these *** my cash cards, I have resorted to going against my better judgement and just applied online for an account with Wells Fargo myself, in hopes that we won't have this kind of run around again. I just used everything on this temporary card to purchase supplies needed for my upcoming business, and I'm just going to throw the card out now that it's served its purpose. Problem averted, but not solved. I don't see why it's so hard to do a simple task with this company that should have quite literally taken us maybe a grand total of 30 minutes to complete, travel time to the bank and all. Definitely don't plan on doing much more business with Paypal from here, though it will be necessary for taking some sorts of payment with my small business. Lesson learned!
